Advocacy
Our services
Our Advocacy service ensures children, young people, and adults to have their voices heard and their rights respected. Our trained advocates provide guidance, reassurance, and independent support, helping individuals express their wishes, navigate decisions, and access the services they need. Available nationwide, including local community advocacy for adults, we ensure everyone receives the support they deserve to be listened to and understood.

Everyone deserves to be heard when making life-changing decisions. For many children, young people, and adults, however, their views are often overlooked or misunderstood, leaving them without the support they need.
Our Advocacy service provides independent support to ensure individuals understand information, express their wishes, and navigate complex systems such as social care, family courts, and community services. By safeguarding wellbeing and amplifying their voice, we promote fairness, empower people, and connect them to the services and protections they are entitled to.
Our approach
We are here to make sure children, young people, and adults are not only heard, but genuinely involved in the decisions that shape their lives.
We support a wide range of individuals, including children and young people in care, those preparing to leave care, young carers, and those with disabilities or additional needs. Adults often use the service when they need guidance and representation in community or social care settings. For children and young people in care, we can also provide Independent Visitors - trusted adults who take an active interest in their lives, spend time with them on activities, and offer practical advice and support.

Anyone can make a referral, whether it’s a social worker, solicitor, family member, or the individual themselves. Once we’re involved, our trained advocates listen carefully, explain information clearly, and help people express their wishes and feelings. When needed, we can speak on their behalf, seek answers to questions, and provide guidance, always remaining independent and never making decisions for them.

Our service is flexible and accessible, taking place in family homes, care placements, community venues, schools, or local authority offices. We also offer local community advocacy for adults, helping them navigate services and ensure their rights are respected. Wherever it happens, advocacy gives people the clarity, confidence, and independence they need to have their voice heard and their rights upheld.
