Supervised Contact
Our services
Our Supervised Contact service supports children who do not live with their parent(s) during visits with family members. We provide trained supervision, safeguarding their wellbeing and safety, while observing interactions to help maintain and strengthen family relationships. Especially valuable after separation or divorce, in cases of parental alienation, or where there are safeguarding concerns, our team helps children sustain positive connections with parents, siblings, and other important family members.

There is a possibility that children may experience uncertainty, anxiety, or potential harm when spending time with non-resident family members, especially following separation, divorce, or periods of no contact.
Our service protects the wellbeing of children during family contact, especially where there are risks or concerns. Through professional supervision, observation, and support, we ensure contact is safe and positive, helping children sustain meaningful relationships with parents, siblings, and other family members while promoting their confidence and long-term connections.
Our approach
Our service is designed to keep children safe, supported, and confident during family contact.
Our Supervised Contact service is tailored for children and young people who do not live with one or both parents and who require support or supervision during family contact. It is particularly valuable in situations where there are safeguarding concerns, a history of conflict, parental separation or divorce, periods of no contact, or issues such as parental alienation. We support children of all ages, adapting to their individual needs, and are especially mindful of those who may feel anxious, vulnerable, or uncertain in family contact situations.

Our trained staff provide supervision and observation during family contact, including visits at home, care placements, community venues, or day-outs with a parent. Referrals can be made by solicitors, social workers, or private individuals, and we work closely with families and professionals to plan each session, ensuring the child’s safety and wellbeing are prioritised.
During contact, our staff observe interactions, provide guidance when needed, and take detailed notes to document the child’s experience and the quality of the contact. By working sensitively and at the child’s pace, we create a safe environment that promotes positive interactions and healthy family relationships.

Through this approach, children are protected, supported, and heard, while families and professionals receive clear observations to inform future contact arrangements. Our goal is to foster confidence, maintain safety, and strengthen meaningful family connections.
